I have been looking around for something to help with my bum shoulder. I dislocated it last summer and it hasn't been the same since. Been to the doctor, but they say rehab is really the only action that should be taken. I know I have to rebuild the strength in my shoulder, but other than the exercises they have given me I don't know what to do. Anybody know of any good supplements that are good for the tendons. I probably need to get some collagen or something, but I don't know if that shit even works. Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated....

I had one of these in my rehab the first time. I would give it another shot, but I can't really afford it right now. Does it matter if I wait a while, or will my shoulder suffer?

I broke my collarbone and was out of the gym for about 2 months. My doc said I should wait 4 months before I do anything but it felt great and I'm not the type to sit on my ass for a long time.

Best thing to do is lift very very light. I used to dumbell shoulder press around 65 but after breaking my collarbone, I started out at 7.5 lbs and it was somewhat still bothersome. Do what feels right, not what someone tells you. If you can press 100000 without any pain, go for it.

I didnt take any type of meds after the intial broken phase, you should be fine. Just take it easy and listen to your body

I have been in a similar situation the past 6 years or so, I hurt my shoulder very badly, my bench press has never been the same...pisses me off, I'm afraid to go all out now....I came back originally and while benching my shoulder came out of socket, it was very painful but even more disheartening as I knew I would never be able to lift the same on the bench.
